At Nido Early School, we're in an exciting phase of growth, expanding our national footprint through the delivery of purpose-built early learning centres across Australia.
  
We're looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the construction delivery of our new services pipeline, overseeing more than 20 concurrent active childcare developments each year from project commencement through to practical completion and operational handover.
  
This role acts as Nido's primary owner across all active builds partnering with developers and builders, coordinating internal dependencies, and ensuring every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to Nido's design and quality standards.
  
The role
  • Lead the delivery of Nido’s national construction pipeline, overseeing 20+ concurrent childcare developments annually from project commencement through to practical completion and operational handover.
  • Partner with developers to identify scope, timelines, quality expectations and delivery milestones
  • Act as the primary relationship owner for construction partners, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with Nido’s design and quality standards.
  • Drive project governance, milestone tracking, reporting and risk management across the construction portfolio.
  • Monitor budgets, construction progress and quality outcomes, identifying and addressing issues early to keep projects on track.
  • Coordinate internal dependencies across Licensing, IT, Fit-out, Procurement, and Operations to ensure on time centre openings.
  • Partner closely with Design, Operations, Finance and Legal teams to ensure successful project delivery and effective handover.
  • Oversee defect identification, tracking and rectification processes from practical completion through to DLP.
About you
  • 8–12+ years' experience in client-side construction, property development or project delivery.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site construction programs simultaneously.
  • Proven experience managing developers, builders, project managers and contractors.
  • Experience delivering commercial, education, community or social infrastructure projects.
  • Experience within childcare or early learning environments is highly regarded.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and project reporting.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership skills.
