About Us
There are lots of Centre Director roles, all offering pretty much the same. Lots of ‘we are the best’, ‘awesome team’, ‘high quality, state of the art’, ‘free trip to the moon’, well maybe not the moon trip thing, we got a little carried away.
It is very competitive out there to find quality Centre Directors and we all want to standout, but we will not throw lots of buzz words at you and promise something that we can’t deliver, honesty over hype.
Yes, Nido will offer bonuses for quality, career progression if you desire, training, and all the other benefits that other ads might have up in lights, but importantly, we’ll offer a seat at the table to effect change and an environment where you matter, and your opinion matters every day.
Can you work alongside the team and together focus on quality, compliance and keeping children safe? If so, your new home could be at Nido, come and have a chat and decide for yourself.
Our Purpose is simple
“To create an environment that supports teachers to rise and make a positive impact on the lives of children.”
About you and the Centre Director role
You spend a lot of your life at work, it should be a place you enjoy. A place to build lasting friendships, laugh, and feel the joy of making a difference every day.
We’re passionate about the why in the what we do. At Nido, we succeed when you do, and you succeed through your educators.
That’s why the educators conduct the final interview and choose who will lead them. You interview each other. Unconventional? Not really, just respectful.
We start from trust. You are a competent and capable professional Centre Director, so you know what the role entails, so we won’t list it all here.
Nido is about heart and continuous improvement. We’re not perfect, and we don’t expect you to be either. We’ll learn, grow, and support each other to be better tomorrow than today.
Your career can stretch or stay focused; step into an Area Manager, HR, Compliance or Quality role when it’s right, or remain a Centre Director if that’s where your heart is. We embrace both.
Nido’s centre-based leadership circle
- Executive Service Manager (Centre Director): You lead the service; culture, quality and outcomes.
- Curriculum Leader: Enhanced Educational Leader coaching across all classrooms, with at least 2 days out of the classroom to observe, mentor and influence quality practices.
- Family Advocate: 25–35 hours a week building strong family relationships, onboarding new families and connecting with the community.
- Together, this team frees you up to focus on people, pedagogy and impact. It is one of our investments in our quality focused model.
At Nido, you’ll join a purpose-driven community committed to providing high quality education, continuous learning, and creating environments where children and educators thrive. You’ll be empowered, supported, and encouraged to make a real difference.
Every day matters. You matter.
